Internal moves

We acknowledge that many facilities have their own “in-house” team of porters and odd-job personnel who can be called upon to relocate laboratories or offices within a building or campus. Equally these resources can be asked to move single items of equipment from A to B within the same site.

Although the use of these resources may initially seem attractive, more and more of our customers are coming to us to undertake these tasks having taken a number of things into consideration:-

• The demands placed upon the employer by the Health and Safety regulations

• The increasing instances of individuals seeking compensation for injuries suffered performing this kind of activity

• The inconvenience and cost of replacing damaged or broken items

• The increasing administration overheads of preparing Risk Assessments, Method Statements and Contingency Plans

• Insurance issues

With full UK coverage, we can provide resources to undertake these “in-house” requests whether large or small. We can also provide on-site, dedicated teams who can attend on pre-agreed days to act in support of customers’ own resources. This is of particular interest to customers needing to temporarily supplement their own resource pool during times of intense activity.
