With Benchmark services limited growing beyond anyone’s expectations within the logistics market a reliable source of temporary workforce was needed to fill our own demand.
After trying several local agencies in the area it was found that the quality of the service and staff was far below the high standards that we expect to offer as a customer facing Logistics Company. It was because of this shortfall in the market that the recruitment division was born.

Initially the recruitment division’s mission statement was to source and screen high level driving candidates that were competent, fully trained and as customer focused as the rest of our business. This temporary work force was supplied to our business on a daily basis and built around a senior recruitment business manager with nearly 10 years recruitment experience, much of it within the driving industry.

This division proved such a success that many of our logistics partners worked along side this service and before long we were providing drivers to external interests. It was soon realised that as full members of the Road Haulage Association and having built a solid understanding of the Transportation industry we were perfectly placed to initially match and then better the performance of other long established recruitment agencies.

Becoming full members of the Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) in 2007 our ethos has always been to continually provide an excellent service to our customers and to never make false promises to our drivers.
