Are you a Class 2 Driver who is tired of the same old “drop and go” routine? If you’re looking for a role where your technical skills are as important as your driving, and where every day brings a new environment, this is it.
As a Driver Installer, you are a vital link in the scientific supply chain. You won’t just be parking at a loading bay; you’ll be the face of the company, delivering and installing specialised laboratory equipment directly to the point of use in Universities, Hospitals, and world-class Research Campuses.
You’ll typically work in a two-person team and for big moves, a larger team, meaning you always have support on the road and on-site.
The role is Monday to Friday with an average of 40–45 hours per week (day shifts).
While you’ll be home most nights, occasional overnight stays across the UK, Scotland, and Wales allow for a change of scenery. Hotels, meals, and night out expenses are fully covered. Notice is always provided for overnight stays.
Comprehensive on-the-job training is provided included a full induction, and access to our online Health & Safety portal. We provide an R2C vehicle check app to make your daily inspections easy and digital.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Precision Delivery: Safely operating Class 2 vehicles to transport high-value scientific equipment.
- Technical Installation: Moving equipment to its final location (point of use) and assisting with laboratory relocations.
- Collaboration: Working closely with your partner and larger teams on major projects to ensure a seamless client experience.
- Professionalism: Representing the brand at prestigious research sites and hospitals.
What We’re Looking For
- A valid Class 2 License and CPC are essential.
- You enjoy hands-on work, problem solving and take pride in handling delicate equipment.
- You’re a team player who can coordinate start times (averaging around 6:15 AM) with your partner.
- You are happy to travel and are comfortable with the occasional planned night away.
The Benefits
- Competitive Pay consistent 40–45 hours per week + Overtime rates for any weekend work.
- Access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and a company pension scheme.
